Your birth attended by the certified nurse midwife will ensure that all goes as smoothly as possible. The certified nurse midwife also offers services such as well woman visits, preconception counseling, family planning, primary care, circumcision and IV hydration to families in her service area. Wow did you know a midwife could do all that?

The home birth midwife and all of the birth assistants that attend births with her are trained in natural labor and birth and each understands the anatomy of physiologic birth. My aim is to ensure that you are able to experience the birth you envision and I will be present to provide comfort and encouragement along the way.
Every birth attendant is trained in neonatal resuscitation and CPR. Appropriate supplies and precautions for emergency situations will always be available if needed.

I collaborate with a network of midwifery practices around the metroplex who provide care in a variety of birth settings. If non-emergent hospital transfer becomes necessary I strive to ensure the continuation of midwifery care if possible.

Olivia and her entire tea with Sweet Pea Midwifery were amazing! Olivia was so patient. I’m a little crunchy and was soo grateful she asked what my desire was regarding the post birth jabs 💉, vitamin k, the other tests they have to poke your baby for, the gunk they put in baby’s eyes right after delivery, etc. She was so caring to advise me what the pros and cons were for every one of them and was happy to support me either way.

Olivia has provide an excellent care for my and my baby. I was a VBAC and no midwife in the area was comfortable taking me in. In every session, she was very organized and proactive to instruct me in preparation for the delivery.

I have honestly been putting off writing a review because there simply are not enough of the right words for Olivia and her team. Amazing, fantastic, exceptional just do not do her justice. We chose a home birth for our first child and while most of our family and friends were supportive we did get some push back and as anyone who’s done this before can attest
