HELLO I AM OLIVIA!

Olivia Delavega RNC-MNN, MSN, APRN, CNM

My name is Olivia Delavega, I am a Certified Nurse Midwife in the Rockwall area providing home-based, woman-centered, holistic midwifery care for families in Rockwall, Fate, Forney, Rowlett, Garland, Mesquite and surrounding areas. I obtained my nursing degree in 2008 from El Centro College in Dallas, I began my nursing career at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in women and children services. This is where my love for women's health began. I then went on to obtain my BSN from Texas Tech University in 2016. I returned to Texas Tech in 2017 to continue my studies in Women's Health as a Midwife and obtained my Master of Science in Nursing. I have also recieved post graduate training in male infant circumcision from Dr. Alfredo Antonetti and breech vaginal birth from Dr Stewart Fischbein's Reteach Breech Conference. My passion is Women's Health, and I look forward to devoting my career to the promotion and support of women throughout their lifespan. I am a firm believer in the power of the female body. I believe in providing the highest quality evidence-based, holistic health care that is both woman-centered and physiologically sensitive. I skillfully practice the art of “doing nothing” as this is the heart of midwifery. I firmly believe that it is the place of the midwife and other attendants to provide the woman a safe and conducive environment for birth and to patiently allow the woman to birth her baby in a physiologic manner, free from interruption and needless intervention. I apply my warm and empathic nature to calm women during labor using a variety of techniques to ensure an empowering and comfortable birthing experience as well as a safe and healthy delivery for baby. I strive to provide compassionate and empathetic care that is culturally sensitive and respectful to every family I serve. I am the mother to three of the most magnificent children, two boys and one girl. I am humbled daily that God chose me to be their mother. My children paved the vision for my career, each one making their own unique impact on the curves and twists it has taken. It was through the experiences of each of my pregnancies, labors and births that I have found myself where I am today. They each represent a separate piece of my heart! My clinical experience consists of rotations between Lover's Lane Birth Center, Allen Midwifery and Family Wellness Center (AKA Allen Birth Center), MacArthur OB/Gyn, and Women's Specialty OB/Gyn, providing preconception counseling, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, newborn, well woman and primary care to over 600 clients. These rotations allowed me to gain experiences in a variety of naturopathic services and holistic woman-centered care. I have gained knowledge in a variety of labor support options such as water labor and birth and nitrous inhalation therapy for pain management. I was honored to receive exceptional training from a respected Ob/Gyn and 7 of the most highly regarded Midwives in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. I have been the primary attendant for over 100 births (and counting) in a variety of settings from hospital, birth center and home. By far my favorite are the home birth experiences! I look forward to providing you and your family the care you deserve. There has never been a better time to bring midwifery care and birth back to the home!!

HELLO I AM TABBY!

Tabi’tha Israel LM, CPM

Hello! My name is Tab’itha, better known as Tabby, and I’m a passionate certified professional midwife currently residing in Mesquite, Texas. I was born and raised in the Stop 6 area of Fort Worth, TX, and I am a proud mother of three teenage girls. From a young age, I always wanted to be a "baby doctor." My grandmother would often say, "You will be a doctor, and your sister will be a lawyer." Although I encountered quite a few roadblocks and detours along the way, I eventually found my way back to what my grandmother had always believed in, but in a way that resonates with me even more—becoming a midwife. I later discovered that midwifery was in my blood; my great-grandmother was a trusted midwife in her small community in Mississippi, which further inspired my journey.

I graduated from Southwest Tech with an associate degree in Health Science and Midwifery in December 2024 and passed my NARM exam in April 2025, becoming fully licensed as a midwife in Texas. I am currently finishing up my Bachelor’s in Nursing at Arizona College, further enhancing my skills and knowledge in healthcare.

My journey into birth work began in 2018 when I trained as a birth doula through DONA. As a doula, I have attended over 150 in-hospital and out-of-hospital births. When COVID peaked, I was fortunate enough to continue support in the hospital. It was during this time that I realized I needed to acquire the education and skills to become a community midwife sooner than I had originally planned. During my schooling, I attended an additional 95 births and worked with several well-respected midwives and OB-GYNs in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, gaining invaluable experience. I have also acquired skills and experience as a bereavement and cesarean/VBAC support specialist, allowing me to provide comprehensive care to families during significant moments in their lives.

I believe in the power of compassionate care and informed choices, striving to create a safe and nurturing environment for my clients. My end goal is to become a certified nurse midwife and nurse practitioner, bringing holistic and woman-centered care to communities that lack representation, including the area where I grew up.

As an avid homeschooler, I enjoy engaging with my daughters in their education while also finding joy in my hobbies such as sewing, crafts, hosting workshops for young girls, and assisting in the offices I hold in my church. My goal is to continue growing in my practice while providing exceptional care to those I serve.
