First and foremost I want you to know it's normal to feel both excited and anxious as you anticipate the birth of your baby! Sweet Pea Midwifery specializes in guiding expectant families through pregnancy and birth so you feel safe, confident, informed and nurtured from your first prenatal appointment through the first weeks of your baby's life. My goal is to help you create an experience you will cherish for a lifetime. I offer holistic care, body, mind and soul, blended with the tools of modern midwifery so you and your baby have evidence-based care in a supportive, comforting environment.

When you choose Sweet Pea Midwifery you get quality care for all of the stages of your pregnancy. I am on call for you 24/7 for birth and emergencies, and available to you by client portal messenger or text any time you need me.

Midwifery Global Fee
My Midwifery Package is virtually all inclusive. What I mean is, I won’t nickel and dime you. It covers everything you need in one low fee. That leaves you the option of budgeting to add on some great additional services.
My global fee is a great value and a simple plan. It includes basically everything you need. Midwifery Care + Standard Labs + Breastfeeding Support + Postpartum Care. Midwifery Care from your 1st prenatal appointment through 6-weeks of care with your newborn, and regular appointments in between.

Some people want or need more services in their birth. I make that EASY by connecting you with people who provide all of the additional care:
DOULAS: I work closely with amazing doulas who offer so much value. They will help insure your ability to birth without medication — seriously! My favorite doulas charge between $950 & $1200 and they are totally worth it! Let me know what you’re looking for and I’ll help you connect.
CHILDBIRTH CLASSES: Build your confidence and knowledge by taking a great birth class. I can refer you to great educators for a group classes at a near-by birth center or one on one in home classes.
Other resources I can refer you to if desired is prenatal chiropractors, mobile massage therapists and more. Check out my resource page for a multitude of great resources!

I believe that money should never be the main consideration for who you choose as your care provider, and where you birth. So, I have priced my services affordably.
My clients pay for their care in payment across the course of their pregnancy (before the birth). Most of the time, it will cost the same to pay cash at my rate as it would to use your insurance in the hospital. That’s because the “patient portion” required by your insurance company is a percentage of the hospital fee which is 3x greater than my cost.
Sweet Pea Midwifery is not "in network" with any insurance carrier but I do offer access to a biller who can file your insurance claim after the birth on your behalf. Depending on your insurance company, you may be able to get a refund for a portion of your fees.
Health Sharing
I have worked with health sharing programs. I am more than willing to provide you with the documentation to submit before the birth and/or after depending on your particular program’s structure. Most programs pay after the birth, so you will pay the package price by 34-weeks, and then I will provide you with a super bill to submit after the 6 week postpartum visit. I ask that you contact your program to gather the information they need from me and provide me with the documentation that they request.
